快速「いろどり富士五湖」号は山梨県の富士本栖湖リゾートで開催されていた「富士芝桜まつり」のピークに合わせて、５月１２・１３日に新宿～河口湖間で運転されました。今年は列車名のとおりＪＲ東日本長野車両センターの「彩（いろどり）」が使用されました。「彩」の富士急線への入線はおそらく初だと思います。

ディスプレイに映し出されたヘッドマークは「彩」標準のものでした。最近何回か「彩」に乗っているんですが、ずっとこのデザインで済まされています。デビュー当時はいろいろなデザインがあって楽しめたんですが、最近手抜きが多いような気がします。

乗車率はコンパートメントの方が半分程度で、座席もそれほど多くありませんでした。特急列車より足は遅いですが、７５０円or９５０円加算するだけで快適にゆったり帰れるので、急がないのであれば有力な選択肢だと思います。

今回は４人で利用したので、初めてコンパートメント（簡易個室）を利用しました。「彩」の６両編成中２・３・５号車がコンパートメント車両で、４号車は座席を発売しないフリースペースで、１・６号車が座席車です。座席車は指定席券売機で指定券が購入できますが、コンパートメントはそれができず、窓口へ行く必要があります。富士急線の富士山・河口湖駅に設置されている「ビジネスえきねっと」でも対応できたのか気になります。

コンパートメントの写真は残念ながら撮り忘れてしまったんですが、「彩」は団体専用列車で使用されることが多いので、団体旅行で重宝するような独特の設備があります。

左は業務用冷蔵庫とポットです。作ってきた弁当を冷やしていたおばちゃん軍団がいましたが、それ以外に使っていた人はいませんでした。４・５号車以外に設置されているようです。また、右はマッサージチェアです。ちょうど私が乗車した３号車に設置されていたので座ってみたかったんですが、大人気でなかなか空きませんでした。いちおう「１人１０分以内にしてください」という注意書きはあったんですが…。

「彩」のデザインに賛否両論ありますが、乗ってみる分には面白い列車だと思います。まだ乗ったことない方はオススメです。列車の写真は富士急線・富士山（旧：富士吉田）駅で撮影したものです。

いろどりのＢ室ですが、指定席券売機でも購入はできます。「どの席でもよい」を選択すると、必然か偶然かＢ室の指定券が出てきました。シートマップでは１・６号車にも空席はあったのですが、４人まとめて購入だったのでそうなったのか、仕様は詳しくはわかりませんが。

私はいつもシートマップを選んでいたため、コンパートメントの車両が候補に表示されませんでした。シートマップを使わなければコンパートメントが割り当てられることがあるってわけですね。4人揃えばいいですね。
逆に1人でコンパートメントが割り当てられて、見知らぬ人に囲まれて過ごすのもちと微妙ですね。
